The £50,000
Centenary Plaza lesson.
In October 2025, a prosecution linked to Birmingham's Centenary Plaza resulted in a £50,000 penalty — a reminder that fire door compliance enforcement is not theoretical. As the responsible person, the duty to keep fire doors compliant sits with you, and the consequences of getting it wrong can be significant.
Don't wait for
an inspection to find out.
Cases like this typically come to light after an incident, a complaint, or a routine fire safety audit — at which point it's too late to fix quietly. A proactive inspection, with an image-backed report and a documented audit trail, is the practical way to know your position before anyone else asks.
Know where
you stand.
An image-backed report and a clear list of any remedial work needed.
A same-day digital certificate held on record for your audit trail.
What the law requires of you, in plain terms.
Book an
inspection.
Speak directly with a qualified specialist. Each fire door is assessed against a comprehensive 30-point inspection by a certified fire door inspector. You'll receive a detailed, image backed report setting out what is compliant and what requires attention, with clear recommendations. Where it is safe and compliant to do so, we prioritise repair over replacement. Compliant doors are issued with certification on the same day.
Inspections are £30 + VAT per door. Fee deducted from invoice when you book remedial or replacement work within 60 days.
